Account Policies
Please note, all BU account holders are expected to adhere to the BU Policy on Computing Ethics.
New Accounts at BU
If you are new to BU, you will need a Kerberos account (aka ACS account).
After you get your BU ID card with UID number, go to 111 Cumington St, or https://weblogin.bu.edu/accounts/create?_hostname=ad-sed.
As part of SED, you should also register with Webnew to take advantage of Filemaker accounts, filesharing and other systems linked to your Kerberos/AD account. When registered, you will get a message that your account will be ready in 24 hours. 15 minutes is more common.
Accessing AD resources at SED
Many of our newer file share systems run on Active Directory (AD). In order to authenticate against them, you will need to run SED WebNew: http://www.bu.edu/computing/accounts/ad/sed
