Binding PCs to AD
Before Binding
Rename and reset the password for the administrator account per SED-IT policy
Binding
Start -> Right click on My Computer -> Properties -> Computer Name -> Join a Domain
Machine name: sed-username or sed-username-laptop
Domain name: ad.bu.edu
After Binding
Move the machine into the correct OU.
Restart.
Log in with your -adm account.
Remove un-needed local accounts.
Add the enduser to the administrators group.
If desired remove all AD\Domain Users from the users group.
