Databases
There are a variety of BU databases that hold data... UIS being the main one.
Here at SED, we mostly use Filemaker and MySQL. If you want to host or access a database, please email sed-it@bu.edu. We have both Filemaker and MySQL servers available.
Filemaker - A very easy to use database. We use it for most administrative needs at SED.
SQLite - A lighter, faster, easier to use database. Also recommended with PHP. This is the database we recommend for student web projects.
MySQL - A heavy duty database, commonly used with PHP.
