Group File Shares

SED-Files Server

These directories are located on the sed-files server share.

Before You Start

* If you have never accessed this machine, or another on AD, please run SED WebNew first. This is the most common reason for someone not to have access.

* If you are connecting from home, please start the VPN first.

Connecting from a PC

For PCs, Click Start, Run, and type in: \\sed-files.bu.edu\sed as shown:

Login with ad/yourbuusername (no @bu.edu) and kerberos password. You need to include the ad/ before your username.

Connecting from a Mac

For Macs, Click Finder, Go, Connect To Server, and use smb://sed-files.bu.edu/ as shown:

Login with yourbuusername (no @bu.edu) and kerberos password. If you see a box with "AD" as the Domain, leave it as is. Some versions of Mac OS X do not show this box.

If you have a research project, committee or other group, please send an e-mail to sed-it@bu.edu with the name of your group, and the members of your group. Please note, only BU users may be included.
