Keyboard Shortcuts
- Need to "force quit" a hung application? Hit option-command-escape at the same time.
- To boot in OS 9, hold down the 9 key while booting.
- To boot in OS X when OS 9 is default, hold down the x key while booting.
- To do a screen capture, hit "Shift-Apple-3".
- To remove a stuck CD, try reboot, hit Cmd+Option+O+F and the type in the terminal box: eject CD.
- Or, try holding the mouse button down upon restart.
- Use Apple-Q to skip registration when working with a new OSX install.
Tips and Tricks
- Need to get the OS X version from the command line? Type "sw_vers".
