Please contact sed-it@bu.edu for help with technology purchases. In some cases, we can provide what you need for free, and in other cases help you get the best value for your dollar.

Purchasing through University Computers

In general, technology purchasing goes through University Computers. For special BU prices on popular software packages and Apple hardware, their prices can't be beat. That doesn't mean you are limited by University Computer's selection or pricing on other items though.

  • If you want something that UC doesn't carry, order it from UC on the REQ, and just put a link to it in the "More Description" field. Alternatively, you can paste in the contents of an online shopping cart.
  • If you find a lower price, put that price in the REQ and put a link to that price in the "More Description" field. They will generally match it (plus the extra shipping you would have had to pay.)
